To achieve radiant skin rejuvenation Mesotherapy is a popular choice of treatment. It uses a combination injection techniques. The techniques used are influenced by your skin’s needs and conditions.  The injections deliver the ingredients to different depths but are typically quite shallow: 2-6mm.  The probes are extremely superficial, dispersing very gradually and travel down to deeper tissues. A dermal roller tricks the skin into renewing new cells to repair itself, through harmless prickling. A dermal roller can also be used in conjunction with Mesotherapy.

Conditions treated with Mesotherapy

  • Dull skin
  • Dry skin
  • Loose/sagging skin.
  • Areas that can be treated are: the face, scalp and low neck line.

Does it hurt?

Before any face injection, and in the case of face Mesotherapy, we use anaesthetic cream for 40 minutes in order to minimise any discomfort. Slight swelling may occur around the treated area but this is not permanent and will disappear in 1 hour.  Naturally, the perception of pain varies from person to person. The injections that this skin rejuvenation therapy entails are shallow and superficial. It is advisable to massage the treated area to further limit discomfort.

How many treatments would I need?

Normally a course of treatments are needed to achieve your desired skin rejuvenation results. Usually at least 6 treatments are required for complete skin rejuvenation. The effects of the face Mesotherapy or skin rejuvenation treatment usually lasts 6 months, at which time a top up treatment is recommended. Following that 1 monthly session should suffice to maintain glowing skin.

When Mesotherapy is being used as a remedy for hair loss, treatment should be given once a week for 7 weeks, with a top up session after 6 months. Following that a monthly session should maintain the optimal benefits Mesotherapy brings.

What can I expect before, during and after the treatment?

A Mesotherapy treatment takes around 15 to 30 min.

We give a detailed consultation is given to assess the individual’s requirements with age, hair loss, alopecia, fat percentage and skin texture being considered. Diet and lifestyle are also important factors taken into account. The number of treatments of Mesotherapy and/or massage will then be recommended.

We use anaesthetic cream for 40 minutes in order to minimise any discomfort, especially in face mesotherapy. Using a healthy fusion of vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and biomimetic peptides, Mesotherapy can rejuvenate, rehydrate and tighten the skin. After consultation and assessment, a course of treatments is normally recommended followed by maintenance sessions.

Microdermabrasion treatment involves spraying the face with exfoliant crystals to remove dead skin cells. Meanwhile, Photorejuvenation therapy entails employing either lasers, intense pulsed light, or photodynamic therapy to cure skin afflictions and eliminate wrinkles and spots, the effects of photoaging, which is the premature ageing of the skin commonly caused by repeat exposure to UV radiation from the sun. Photorejuvenation encourages controlled wounds on the skin, urging it to heal itself by creating new, healthy cells. Both Microdermabrasion and Photorejuvenation may also be combined in a programme with Mesotherapy for greater results.

With regards to Mesotherapy, small quantities of medications are injected directly into the targeted area. Once injected, the area is stimulated to allow a quicker healing time. Skin messengers stimulate the skin to produce new skin cells and new fibroblasts, which are cells in connective tissue that produce collagen and other fibres- ideal for youthful skin elasticity and enhanced toning. The medications break down fatty deposits and firm the skin.
