FAQs

Does it hurt?

Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities. Electric Skin Needling boasts a good comfort level and this will normally be made more so by applying a topical anaesthetic to the treatment area before hand.

How many treatments would I need?

Electric Dermastamp Skin Needling or miconeedling rejuvenation normally consists of a series of three procedures with approximately 6 weeks between them. Depending on your particular skin complaint, it may be necessary to increase the number of treatments required. Alternatively, you may need to use  Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy™,  either on its own or in combination with the Electric Dermastamp as the most beneficial course of action to achieve maximum results.

What can I expect before, during and after the treatment?

To properly prepare you for the microneedling process, you will be provided with an extensive personal consultation with our expert to assess your skin’s needs. Here, we will conduct an allergy test, make sure you are suitable for the Dermastamp treatment, talk through any risks, discuss any concerns you have and take photos of your current condition to document your microneedling before and after results.

The electric Dermastamp medical device produces thousands of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column will stimulate the skin to regenerate and repair itself, while closing rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly. The precision engineering of the Electric Dermastamp medical device enables accurate control of the treatment intensity. The needle depth and speed can be adjusted depending on the area being treated and the clinical condition of the skin.

After your skin needling treatment, your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to six weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing eDS with Strapline OL copyyou with a natural and long lasting enhancement.

For effective post-treatment care, we provide you with advice about which calming creams are best to use and factor 50 UVA/UVB protection. To promote optimum recovery, avoid the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (for example – Glycolic Acid), Retinol, acidic or “active” ingredients for 2-3 days.

Is it right for me?

Due to Electric Skin Needling using Dermastamp not using thermal heat (unlike IPL & Lasers) it is safe to use on all skin types and all skin colours. There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (the darkening of patches of skin in comparison to surrounding skin). Dermastamp is suitable for anyone looking to overcome the physical affects of ageing, rejuvenate their hands, face and neck and work towards removing acne scars and stretch marks.

How much does it cost?

£200, though the price can vary depending on how may areas are treated. The first treatment includes 2 full size products. Any additional products needed are priced at the same cost as the Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy™.

What are the risks?

Fortunately, Electric Skin Needling using Dermastamp carries virtually no side-effects and requires very little downtime. Post procedure infections are also extremely unlikely. The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short, dramatically fading within hours, turning from red to a pinkish colour that may last for 24 hours on average. In order to reduce visible redness, we suggest healing minerals, peptides and hyaluronic acid after the procedure, and to apply zinc based sun screen to shield the skin. It’s also a good idea to use mineral makeup to help with the healing.
